Altruism

Considered by many as one the top PsyTrance DJ and Producers around, Thatha puts all her love into her music and it’s shines straight back at her by all the respect and affection she garners from the crowds she regularly plays too. Thatha had her first contact with Psytrance in 1999 and very soon thereafter dived deep into mixing vinyl and DJing in the Brazilian underground scene.

Once established as a DJ she sought a new goal, of producing her own music. ‘Altruism’ was born as Thatha’s vehicle for her own music.

Altruism was instantly successful and in 2010 she reached her first top ten charting on Beatport.com top 10 with her compilation “Magic Mirror”. In 2011 she joined the UK/South African label Nano Records, where she had already released 2 Ep’s; “Beyond Illusion” in 2011 and “Fat Beat” in 2013, and has since gone onto to regular chart topping releases and accolades. Thatha is very popular on the global psytrance festival scene and has performed as a DJ and as a Live Act as ‘Altruism’ at some of the best festivals in the world.

Ever classy, Thatha & her ‘Altruism’ sets are mixed with a lot of harmony and versatility allied to a great technical ability, and she is always able to take the dancefloor where she wants with her charm and light.
