Nature journals for kids

Nature journals for kids

Presenter: Deschia Sutherland
Suitable for: kids

Nature is such an important part of everyone’s lives, especially children.
Taking notice of what is around you builds respect and empathy for the environment.
Come and create a small bound journal out of recycled paper to record your findings in nature, fill it with sketches, leaf rubbings, and much more.

I will provide recycled paper and all equipment needed for children to put together and bind a nature journal for each to take home and to use during Lunasa. Children will leave with the knowledge of a simple book binding technique using needle and thread and also they will encouraged to take closer interest in the environment around them and record their findings.
