The Commercial Hippies aka Anton Raubenheimer and Gareth Tacon started their musical history together DJing breakbeat at parties in and around Cape Town South Africa. After a couple years of DJing the 2 decided to try their hand at producing and soon after the concept of The Commercial Hippies was born. Their first release "Where dreams come from" on Nano Records received a great response from trance lovers the world round and instantly caught the attention of many a psychedelic stomper. Since these early days TCH have grown from strength to strength and have released a number of extremely well received tracks such as “3 Star Hotel”, "Imaginoid" and their monster remix of Lark's "Tricksy" to name a few. After being in the studio for the better half of 2005 and the early months of 2006 they released their intricately detailed debut album “If you cant stand the heat, get out of the chai room” on Nano Records. Their 2nd album "From Beyond" was released in 2009 to great reception and confirmed TCH as a force to be reckoned with! Since "From Beyond" TCH have been touring around the globe and more recently released their 5 track EP "Underground Overground" available for online as a free download in September 2012 As always you can expect TCH to be pushing the boundaries of Psy-Trance, always wanting to try something new, and not conform to the status quo.
