Bio
The knights of the Dub Table bring an extremely high energy live experience that gets crowds going every time they perform. The Knights provide a quality live performance with impeccable vocals, live MC-ing, a punching horn section, heavy bass lines and uplifting songs.
The Knights have a distinctive sound encapsulating mixture of genres that flow seamlessly and that strike a chord with crowds all over Aotearoa, combining elements of Reggae and electronica into their own fusion of Dub-flavoured music.
In 2011 the Knights of the Dub Table released their debut album entitled ‘Way of the DUB’ which has received great reviews among the media. The Knights have featured some wonderful compilation CDs including, The Best Of Conscious Roots 2012, Dub Zealand 2011 as well as an upcoming compilation with EDI Productions (Europe).
“These guys have a great style and for me to be a part of their progression is an honor.” – Tiki Taane
Standouts include Running Out, with its smouldering groove of conscious roots, and the dark brooding new single Why. Like Che Fu, vocalist Mr Samy‘Samson has a cool soulful presence, infusing into each song more as another instrument, than as an egotistical front man.” - New Zealand Musician Magazine
“…they’re a treat to watch on stage…a strong element of improvisation, with lengthy, indulgent interludes that raise energy levels amongst the crowd before they hit the heavy bass lines. The mish-mash of dub, reggae, drum ‘n bass and rock is a surprising one, but it works well…after a high energy, tight two hour set, Knights of the Dub Table proved they can definitely hold their own.” – Gisborne Herald
"Knights of the DUB Table have continued playing shows left, right and centre with some of New Zealand’s biggest reggae and dub acts… From the outside looking in, it looks as though you guys are on the brink of something epic”. MammothGigGuide
