Market
Luminate's market is a colorful, spacious area; the central happening ‘home’ of the festival, offering quality, yummy healthy food, a range of wonderful products, and a open mic stage! It’s a great place to catch up with friends over a mouth-watering meal, coffee, juice or snack, and for parents to relax while the children enjoy a variety of activities.
Local arts and crafts provide a fascinating browsing or shopping experience, with many unique goods and treasures to find, including jewelry, fire/juggling toys, gem stones, paintings, pottery, second hand goods, new and recycled clothes, and lots more. Looking for a new party outfit? Luminate market may be just the place to find a super cool score!
Luminate’s market offers delicious and nutritious menus from around the world. Our Kai Organic cafe serves a variety of healthy organic vegetarian meals from morning to night. The beautiful Cob Pizza Oven offers tasty, wood-fired, organic pizzas made to order.
A wide variety of food & refreshment outlets are carefully selected to offer a stimulating range of options to keep your taste-buds happy. Grab a bite on your way to the main stage, quench your thirst with a healthy juice, wake yourself up with a fair trade coffee, or check out the talent on the Village Stage while you take your time enjoying the global cuisine.
Remember, bring your own plate, cup & cutlery; market traders at Luminate do not give out disposables, and there are no rubbish bins or recycling. Composting and dishwashing facilities are provided.

Blanket Sellers: You are very welcome! You can set up your blanket in the designated space within the market area from Thurs 31st onwards. The hours and days you sell, are up to you. There will be a flat fee of $15 per day, and you are required to register and pay at the information tent before you set up. Contact Sarah for more information.
At Luminate we have a Clean Environment Strategy which significantly minimizes waste. Thank you for being responsible, to pack out what you bring in and leave no trace. It is important that all traders comply with the clean environment strategies at Luminate.
There will be NO eftpos / electronic transaction facilities at the gate, so if you need to buy a ticket at the gate make sure you have enough cash. Luminate have developed a more sustainable vision for our food utensil usage on site. (Plates, Cups, Knife, Fork, Spoons)
Let’s start with, if you have your own utensil bring it and use it !!!! That’s the best way !
If you get caught out not having any or just want to help this vision grow. You’ll be kindly asked to visit the Wash depot leave a $3 deposit for the cup plate etc.
Then feel free to mingle and mosey around the beautiful smells and tastes that our market has to offer purchasing your food from any vendor with a smile and your hired equipment.
You will be using Luminate equipment; kindly YOU WILL rinse your utensils.
On returning it to our new and improved drop off station. then we will now sterilize and store them, helping to maintain a pleasant, efficient service.
As you have used our system and we have taken ownership of the cost for the sterilization we will in return charge you 50cents. You have helped towards the ongoing running cost that this system creates.
Our Market Wash Station will operate between 8am & Midnight
Keeping in mind that even the most eco friendly disposable plate creates more rubbish than washing and reusing your own, you can see why we constantly overhaul, review, and update the ways our sustainable site operations interact with both food buyer and food seller.
