Redwood Reider is a spoken word poet known for energizing and inspiring audiences. Her powerful live performances range from the intimate to the political (and often both at the same time).

Chasing social justice and enlightenment in rhyme, she has collaborated on stage with a wide variety of musicians, from beatbox to mantra chants, from electric guitar to cello. Channeling the flow of the moment, freestyle improvisations are also a highlight of a redwood poetree session.

She has produced two CDs: the soulful live album A Process of Love & Rhyme (2009); and Poetree (2011), an intense lyrical journey interwoven with the support of an international team of musicians. A native of the redwood lands of California, she now makes her home in Golden Bay, Aotearoa New Zealand.
