He is known for his amazing vocal skills and power, his ability to connect to, hold and lift a crowd either whilst fronting a band, or as a solo artist.

Matiu Te Huki is a singer songwriter who has collaborated with and recorded with artists such as Tiki Taane, Anika Moa, DLT and more. He as also performed with the likes of Fat Freddies drop, Rhombus, Pitch Black, Hori Buzz, Hikoikoi, Omecha Supreme and more.

He was the founding member of the popular roots band Homefire Burning and is currently still a member of Basscamp and his current band My Golden Soul.
